Situated on dramatic, elevated topography south of Tropicana Avenue and west of Hualapai Way, The Mesa is Summerlin’s southernmost village to date and one of its most distinctive areas that Las Vegas Real Estate has to offer. The nearly 500-acre residential Summerlin NV village is nestled against the Spring Mountains which form a dramatic backdrop and create a natural sense of seclusion and exclusivity to all the Las Vegas homes and condos that Summerlin's newest village - The MESA is comprised of.

The Mesa in Summerlin NV, one of the newwest areas in Las Vegas real estate is tucked right next to the mountainside, so it does not have any major thoroughfares running through it and it is ideal for homebuyers looking for quiet Las Vegas real estate in a suburban living environment. At the same time, The Mesa is not far from Summerlin’s major community amenities. It might be Summerlin’s southernmost village, but its residents have access to the community’s full palette of amenities, including parks and trails, schools, community centers, dining, entertainment and more.

Homes in The Mesa feature a desert contemporary architectural style. Entry monuments are marked with abundant stonework and back-lit metal signs set against dramatic color hues. Streets are lined with desert-appropriate trees and flowering bushes that emphasize shade and color while enhancing the natural beauty of the area.

Ladera, the first neighborhood in The Mesa, currently offers a dozen different home designs by KB Home and Richmond American Homes. The single-family homes range from 1,642 to 2,804 square feet and are priced starting in the mid $300,000s to more than $500,000. Engle Homes will soon offer three additional floorplans in Ladera that will range from 2,031 to 2,574 square.

In addition to a flurry of residential development, the village is bustling with both recreational and educational development. The village’s large 18-acre park is currently under construction and will feature tennis courts, three little league baseball fields (one with stadium-style seating), a tot lot, 3 ½ acre lawn area and covered picnic ramadas.

The Mesa will also be home to Summerlin’s newest private school, Bishop Gorman High School, on track for an early 2007 opening. Located on a 35-acre campus at Hualapai Way and Russell Road, the new campus will accommodate up to 1,200 students within a 187,000-square-foot facility. The campus also includes a 300-seat chapel, state-of-the-art technology and research library, art facilities, performing arts theatre and athletic facilities suitable for both school and community use. A future public elementary school is also planned for The Mesa village.
